📚 Monthly Reading Recap

One of the most popular formats on Bookstagram, monthly reading recaps are fun, engaging, and visually inviting. For my first post, I chose this format to introduce both my reading taste and the cozy, slightly sleek aesthetic of Tea, Tales & Tender Hearts. This post offers a quick overview of the books I read that month, with a design that reflects my brand’s identity: soft pinks, crisp whites, and bold black accents. I used sharp lines and clean layout choices to create a polished look that still feels warm and welcoming. It was important to keep it simple and effective—letting the books take center stage while establishing my tone and visual style.

📖 Book Highlight - 1st Version

This was one of my very first book-focused posts and it reflects a format I love to use. Visually, I kept it dynamic and engaging: a photo of the book takes center stage, with playful, swirly arrows pointing to the main tropes and themes. This format quickly tells viewers what the book is about, a popular trend across both BookTok and Bookstagram. The post continues with a few of my favorite quotes, presented over a carefully chosen background image that matches the book’s aesthetic and emotional tone. I also pay close attention to the music I pair with each post, as the right song can set the mood and enhance the viewing experience. Each post like this ends with a brief yet heartfelt review. I aim to keep it short, clear, and personal, sharing how the book made me feel while keeping it accessible and spoiler-free.

📚 Current Read - Dragon Republic

This post format is one I use when I know it’ll take me a bit longer than usual to finish a book, it helps me stay consistent and keep my account active, without rushing the reading process. The first carousel slide features a fun, aesthetic “Currently Reading” cover, a visual teaser to spark curiosity. The next slide reveals the actual book, displayed with design elements that complement its vibe while keeping the layout visually appealing and on-brand. These posts also serve as conversation starters. I often include a question in the caption, such as “Have you read this one?” or “What are you currently reading?”, which encourages interaction and builds engagement within the community.

🔁 Last • Now • Next

This post follows the popular “Last, Now, Next” format, a trending way in the book community to share what I just finished, what I’m currently reading, and what I plan to pick up next. It’s a simple yet effective format that keeps followers updated on my reading journey at a glance. It also helps spark conversations, as readers often jump in to say what they thought of the same books or to recommend similar reads. Visually, I kept things clean and consistent with my brand style, making sure each book is easy to spot while keeping the overall look polished and cohesive.

💘 Book Highlight - Version 2

This post marks a shift in my visual style, more refined, more intentional, and deeply inspired by the book’s vibe. The first slide places the book at the center, surrounded by images and colors that capture its aesthetic essence. I love adding a little “blob” with character nicknames or a special catchphrase, something meaningful that only clicks once you've read the story. It’s a small detail that creates a unique connection for those in the know. The second slide brings in the familiar swirly arrows, pointing out tropes and themes for a quick glance into what the book is about. I also include a small pictogram or icon that holds a subtle but symbolic meaning related to the plot. I finish off with a few favorite quotes, always set against a carefully chosen background that amplifies the emotion or aesthetic of the moment. This format lets me share both the heart and the look of a book, combining vibes and visuals to spark curiosity and connection.

📚 BookTok Trend — What I'm Currently Reading

This post follows a popular BookTok trend: the “What are you currently reading?” video with a reveal! I love using this format to stay engaged with trending content while adding my own touch. It’s quick, fun, and encourages interaction people love to share if they’ve read the book, what they thought of it, or simply add it to their TBR. These short videos are a great way to stay active on BookTok, especially when I’m not quite ready to post a full review yet, but still want to keep the momentum going.

🌸 August TBR — New Feed, New Vibes!

This post marks the beginning of my brand-new feed, launching August 1st! I’m shifting towards a warmer, cozier aesthetic, think soft pinks and browns, round shapes and playful blobs that bring a gentle, welcoming vibe to my page. For this TBR, I’m doing more than just dropping covers. Each book gets its own slide with the title, author, page count, and a short, engaging summary — just enough to spark interest without giving too much away. It’s a more detailed and immersive way to share my reading plans for the month, while staying true to my evolving style.
